  172. I think this cup works by magic. The wall of the cup is thin and doesn’t look like it’s insulated at all. I think it works by magic because when the lid is on, my coffee stays hot, not warm, but hot for at least 2 hours and also, the outside of the mug isn’t hot to touch. I’m amazed. I use to use the travel mug that came with my coffee maker and that mug would start to lose heat after an hour and my coffee would be warm but the Scout coffee mug somehow keeps my coffee hot, even with the cap left open. I don’t know how it does it.I only gave it four stars because the cap is a screw on type and depending on how you screw it on, the mouthpiece stops at different parts of the cup and sometimes in an inconvenient way. There is one way to screw it on where the mouthpiece is 90 degrees to the handle which is ideal but there aren’t any markings on the cup on how to achieve this. If the mouthpiece screws into an inconvenient position, you could twist the lid but you can’t twist it too much since the O-Ring that seals the liquid is at the very top inside of the lid and if you unscrew it too much, the liquid will start to seep out of the mug.But even with the lid situation, I like this mug a lot so I ordered one for my dad since he’s a coffee drinker like me.
